“We’ll be back in Paris in 2015”
Manufacturer of electrical harnesses for the aerospace industry, Universal Wiring Systems exhibited for the first time at the Paris Air Show and have already committed to attend the next one.
The company met 124 people from a wide variety of organisations, including Michael Fallon, minister of state at the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills, David Jones, Secretary of State for Wales, and generated 11 solid leads.
Andy Routledge, operations manager and Gareth Moore, business development manager, manned the stand and introduced the company to the industry. The stand was part of the West of England Aerospace Forum’s (WEAF) presence at the show.
This was a brilliant opportunity to increase awareness of the newly re-branded company, which now acts as an independent division of Universal Engineering.
Andy Routledge said: “We had a fantastic time at the Paris Air Show and were able to explain in detail the services we provide and why we rebranded.
“Our capability to build electrical harnesses at Universal Engineering was something most of the 124 people we met weren’t aware off. It was a really satisfying to meet so many interesting people and potential new customers. That’s why we will be back in Paris in 2015.”
Gareth Moore commented: “Our original objective was simply to increase awareness of our capability in manufacturing the most complex of electrical harnesses. However we have generated 11 strong leads from the Show and will be following these up in the coming weeks. This is just the kick-start we needed.”
