We are pleased to welcome Helen Haxell-White to the WEAF team. Helen joins from Leonardo, where she led external communications for the company’s UK helicopters business in Yeovil. At Leonardo Helen managed several corporate campaigns for the aerospace and defence manufacturer, where she promoted innovation, community, and skills alongside the company’s platforms.
Helen began her career in local government before moving to London to pursue a career in parliamentary communications. She worked closely with politicians in Westminster and Brussels, managing multiple political and public affairs publications.
Building on this experience, Helen joined a PR agency specialising in the London property market and later became an international editor and journalist for civil and military aerospace publications.
Helen has lived in Somerset for three years and is passionate about the region which she now calls ‘home’. With her aerospace knowledge and belief in the growth and voice of WEAF as the trade association for aerospace and advanced manufacturing in the SW region; she will be driving communications for the organisation with a particular focus on content and engagement.
