About this event:
This event is delivered in collaboration with the High Value Manufacturing Catapult (HVMC), hosted at the National Composite Centre (NCC) in Bristol.
The Innovation Showcase will convene aerospace, hydrogen and cryogenics industry leaders to discuss requirements, market opportunities and possible collaborations for on-aircraft hydrogen fuel systems and components. The event will convene established aerospace companies and SMEs with relevant capabilities from both aerospace and adjacent sectors, helping to unlock this strategic opportunity for the UK.
Showcase technology scope:
This showcase will focus on systems, subsystems and components for Hydrogen fuel delivery for gas turbines and fuel cells on aircraft, including:
- Seals, Valves, Pipes, Vent Components, Filters
- Pumps, Couplings and Bearings
- Sensors and Gauges (incl. metering, leak detection)
- Thermal Management Components
- Evaporators and Gasifiers (catalytic or thermal)
- Heat exchangers
The following technologies are considered out of scope for this Showcase: Fuel cell technologies, including high-temperature fuel cells
- Superconducting electrical machines
- Core engine and powerplant technologies
- Tanks
Who is this event for?
Organisations with a UK footprint who have requirements to buy or capability (current or potential) to deliver the hydrogen aircraft technologies in scope, including:
- Aerospace Primes and Tier 1s interested in cryogenic hydrogen fuel systems
- Current aerospace suppliers with relevant capability today or a strategic interest to build this capability in the near future
- Adjacent sector suppliers with a potential interest in aerospace
We are particularly keen to invite registration requests from component developers with a UK presence and an existing or emerging interesting in cryogenic hydrogen applications.
The event will showcase innovation and create a forum to discuss:
- What are the key industry challenges and opportunities for the UK in developing cryogenic hydrogen fuel systems?
- What OEM requirements do suppliers need to be aware of?
- What are leading examples of innovation and capabilities across the supply chain that demonstrate the art of the possible?
- What are relevant capabilities and learnings in adjacent sectors?
- Where and how does the industry need to come together to adopt these technologies?
Innovator Pitches
As part of the event, there will also be an opportunity for businesses to apply to pitch their innovative technologies to the industry attendees. If you are interested in being considered to pitch, please select ‘Innovator Showcase Pitch’ under Registration Type in the form. Applications will close on Friday 8th November. Successful organisations will be notified by Wednesday 13th November.
