The CDU forms part of the Eurofighter Typhoon’s aircraft ground equipment (AGE) and is in service with UK and overseas air forces. It was designed, developed and manufactured by Martech, in conjunction with UK experts in chemical protection, to provide a safe and clean method to gently remove chemical agents from sensitive, high value, high tech equipment.
Used chiefly to decontaminate pilots’ helmets, it can also be utilised for decontamination of micro-UAVs, weapons, night vision goggles and communications and surveillance equipment.
Coda Octopus Martech has secured an order from BAE Systems for two more of its Chemical Decontamination Units (CDU)
