Airbus in the UK is once again opening its virtual doors and inviting students to take part in the Airbus digital work experience programme from 21 November to 5 December.

The programme enables Airbus to provide accredited work experience to young people, aimed at students aged between 14-19, no matter where they live. Anyone can register to join and we would like to encourage as many students as possible to participate – please help us spread the word by sharing the link or promoting via your social media channels.

The purpose of this programme is to encourage and inspire students to consider studying STEM subjects, as well as giving them an understanding and insight into the exciting world of aerospace and the career opportunities this could lead to.
Analysis from this Summer’s programme showed:
- 2,088 students enrolled
- 10,290 hours students spent engaged with the programme
- 7,339 modules were completed
- 1,168 students completed at least one module
- 704 students completed all modules and submitted all assignments

Investment in future skills is crucial to the UK’s economic growth and prosperity – so far this year Airbus has recruited more than 420 early careers (apprentices, graduates and interns) and that number will increase next year. Prior to Covid, we attended and ran hundreds of STEM activities in schools and are delighted to have been able to restart them again this year.
