Vericut Optimizer is a new stand-alone software solution that maximises the potential of CNC machining programs. Users of Vericut Optimizer will discover the power of data-driven optimisation strategies and tool paths that work with both speed and precision. While Optimizer is similar to Vericut’s existing and highly successful Force module, the big difference is Optimizer’s stand-alone configuration. Machine shops do not require Vericut to take advantage of this major machining advance. The official launch of Vericut Optimizer will take place on 3 October (10:00-14:00) at the headquarters of Grob Machine Tools UK in Stratford-upon-Avon.
At the exclusive ‘lunch and learn’ event, Vericut is partnering with Grob UK and Seco Tools to demonstrate how Optimizer elevates machining performance and minimises costs. Integrating seamlessly with the APT/CL file or G-code NC program output of almost any CAM system, Vericut Optimizer slashes machining cycle times and delivers up to 100% more tool life. Optimizer also captures detailed performance data and provides the most accurate cut-by-but analysis on the CNC market.
Scott Ravenscroft, Sales Manager at Vericut UK, says: “In just a few clicks, Vericut Optimizer empowers manufacturers to optimise their NC programs effortlessly, regardless of their existing software set-up. If you’re happy with your current CAM verification software and aren’t looking to purchase Vericut just to access our Force module, then Optimizer is for you. Suitable for use on three, four or five-axis CNC machines, Vericut Optimizer concentrates solely on optimising your programs to deliver unmatched improvements in cycle times, tool life and part quality.”
Optimizer has a robust bank of features, from importing and creating cutters – through assigning stock and NC programs to the project tree – to generating insightful graphs. There is also a stock material catalogue with over 150 dyno-tested stock material-cutter combinations, as well as Vericut tool performance data that includes industry-recommended feeds and speeds for common cutter types and materials.
Further features include a preconfigured head-up display (HUD), an NC program display with review capability, an optimisation savings calculator and the ability to compare original files with optimised NC programs.
Vericut Optimizer ultimately equips any manufacturer performing machining processes with robust optimisation strategies and flexible adjustments to optimise NC programs effectively. After all, an optimised NC program is a powerful NC program.
