Recognising Excellence: The WEAF Making a Difference Awards

Is a colleague of yours M.A.D. (Making a Difference)? Does one of your colleagues stand out for their contribution to the industry? WEAF and the region would like to recognise and celebrate their achievements!

New for 2024, we are delighted to announce the inaugural WEAF, M.A.D. Awards, celebrating excellence and innovation. The region boasts the largest Aerospace, Defence, and Advanced Manufacturing/Engineering cluster in the country so there will be strong competition and plenty of opportunity to recognise exceptional talent in our industry.

The WEAF M.A.D. Awards aims to highlight groundbreaking innovations in manufacturing and design, sustainability initiatives, the unsung heroes and those investing in the growth and development of future talent. Central to these awards is a strong emphasis on individuals—the visionary leaders and dedicated teams driving excellence within our industry.

Awards categories:

  • Prime – Innovative Team Award in Design, Process or Systems
  • SME- Innovative Team Award in Design, Process or Systems
  • The Unsung Hero Award (open to all)
