The U.S. aerospace market is still the largest potential market for UK aerospace companies.
A major feature of the U.S. aerospace sector is a unique industry cluster located in Wichita, Kansas. Wichita is the focal point for one of the greatest concentrations of aerospace manufacturing, design and research facilities in the world. Major companies that include Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier Learjet, Cessna, Hawker-Beechcraft and Spirit AeroSystems are located in the Greater Wichita area where there is an infrastructure of 350 other aerospace companies including overseas based organisations.
In the U.S. Pavilion at FIA 2014 Tim Chase, Senior Vice President of Economic Development and Debra Teufel, Vice President of Business Development at Wichita Chamber of Commerce will lead a small delegation of the following five Wichita based aerospace companies with plans to make the most of their visit to FIA 2014 :
